Kaelyn Winkler, owner of On Cloud Canine, started her pet care career in doggy daycare in 2014. She has spent the last 8 years learning all aspects of the pet care industry; daycare, boarding, grooming, enrichment, animal behavior, pet sitting, veterinary assisting, and most recently, worked as a director at an animal rescue. Above all, she is an animal advocate, and her professional experience has enabled her to shape her philosophy into what it is today.
From an early age Kaelyn has owned and cared for a variety of animals; dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and even horses. Growing up, she knew she wanted to make a career out of caring for pets one way or another. In high school, she worked towards a degree in the veterinary field and started taking college courses at only 15 years old. At 19, she began her career in the pet care industry and has not looked back since.
Her husband, Ross, has supported her aspirations from the moment they met in 2013 and has continued to do so even now. His own love of animals has spurred his desire to care for and work with them to continue his education and involvement in the pet care industry as the business continues to grow.
Kaelyn's inspiration for founding and operating a pet sitting business stems from knowing the need of quality and trustworthy pet care in her community and the surrounding areas. From personal experience, her dog Blu, cannot be boarded or kenneled at a traditional boarding facility due to his separation anxiety and unique behavioral needs. In order to help others like him she wants to provide support and educate her clients while simultaneously providing peace of mind. Kaelyn and her team go the extra mile to ensure you, as a pet parent, are happy and comfortable with them caring for your pets.
All of Kaelyn's professional experiences have enabled her to create and shape a philosophy that stays true to a dogs natural instincts and will help bring out their most confident selves. In all of her professional experiences, relationship building with clients and their pets has always been the most rewarding. Now, it is her goal to provide a safe, fun, and educational experience to the community while staying true to her pledge of preventing and alleviating fear, anxiety, and stress.
