Chris has been an animal enthusiast since birth, growing up surrounded by dogs, fish tanks, guinea pigs, and lizards. Their love for pets has been a constant throughout their life, and they've adored every pup they've had the pleasure of meeting.

With over 7 years of experience pet-sitting for friends and family and previous work in a playroom, Chris is beyond excited to start their career as a Playgroup Supervisor. Their passion for taking care of pets is what drives them, and they can't wait to share that love with their furry friends.

They are the proudest pet parent to Comet, a Yellow Lab Shepherd mix with an infectious smile, and Daisy Mae, a Pitte mix with a heart-shaped patch of fur on her back, Chris is no stranger to caring for rescues. They're especially passionate about giving these animals the love and care they deserve.

When not cuddling their pups, Chris can be found drawing, writing, baking, crocheting, playing dungeons and dragons, cosplaying, or gaming. They're a master of all crafts and hobbies!

Above all, Chris is dedicated to providing your pets with the utmost care, love, and attention. They can't wait to meet your furry family members!

Since Alyssa was a young girl, her curious mind has always had a knack for challenging the status quo. She constantly tested the "norms" and questioned how things were supposed to be done, which fueled her resourcefulness and sparked an unspoken connection with the natural world. Even before fully realizing it, she was a planet and animal advocate at heart, always drawn to the quiet wisdom of the earth and its creatures.

For the past eight years, Alyssa has immersed herself in the pet industry, gathering a wealth of experience across various sectors. Her insatiable curiosity has led her to continually expand her knowledge in the ever-evolving world of animal care. This dedication is evident as she works toward finishing her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science & Conservation Biology—a perfect blend of passion and purpose. 

One of her favorite quotes speaks to her gentle, yet profound philosophy:

Outside of her professional world, Alyssa shares her life with five beloved furry companions: two golden retrievers, Gunner and Gracie, one husky, Laila, and two cats, Sasha and Cleveland. When she's not caring for her four-legged family, Alyssa enjoys reading, journaling, snowboarding, playing adult recreational softball, tending to her garden, and experimenting in the kitchen.

Her mission is clear: to bring transparency and safety into every aspect of her work, always advocating for the well-being of the animals while ensuring they receive the best care possible. In her world, the welfare of her furry friends is not just a priority—it's a way of life.

Meet Ashley B - the extraordinary animal lover who's changing the game! Her journey in animal welfare is nothing short of awe-inspiring. It all began when Ashley joined a shelter as a high school volunteer, and her love for animals blossomed into a dedication that's touched countless lives. Today, she's the Adoption & Behavior Supervisor at HSSC, and her passion for four-legged friends has earned her prestigious certifications like the CPDT-KA® and an unwavering commitment to self-improvement. 

But Ashley's heart isn't limited to the shelter - she's also a devoted partner to her husband Zach and an adventurer at heart. They love exploring the great outdoors with bonfires, camping, and dirt biking, all while listening to a diverse range of music from metal to rap and country. 

At home, Ashley's furry family is a testament to her big heart, with multiple pit bull mixes and two senior kitties, including China, a long-term shelter resident, and Letty, a young pittie with mange. Ashley's dedication to preserving the bond between pets and their families is truly remarkable - this is one animal enthusiast that's changing the world, one paw at a time!

Meet Jenna- a passionate animal advocate and Fear-Free Certified Dog Groomer. Jenna has always had a soft spot for animals, and has been helping her neighbors care for their foster pets since she was young. Her passion for animal rights and opposition to animal testing started in high school and has continued to this day. 

In her career, she began as an assistant dog groomer in 2017, but soon realized her true calling and became a certified dog groomer. Jenna has also worked as a veterinary assistant for two years, where she discovered and practiced fear-free techniques. She decided to become fear-free certified herself, believing it's the best way to enhance the care and experience of animals.

Jenna's life revolves around her three beloved cats named Newton, Miso, and Goose. She enjoys spending her free time attending concerts, kayaking, traveling, and exploring new experiences. Jenna also values continuous learning and actively participates in expos, conferences, courses, and webinars.

Jenna's ultimate goal is to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for every furry friend she meets, making their visits safe, fun, and relaxing.

Lydia’s passion for animals has been a lifelong journey, beginning in her childhood surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses. Without her parents' approval, she would often sneak stray kittens into her family home - even once attempting to lure a roaming pig back with her! Naturally drawn to working with animals, she initially dreamed of becoming a veterinarian but found her true calling in behavior and training. This path was largely inspired by her own dog who presented behavioral challenges early on, but that only encouraged Lydia to learn more about animal behavior!

With six years of professional experience in the animal care field, Lydia has worn many hats, including grooming assistant, daycare supervisor, and Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Currently, she serves as a Behavior Adoption Counselor at the Humane Society of Summit County, working closely with animals who need extra assitance to find their forever homes. Her favorite part of the job is making a meaningful difference in the lives of these pets by providing the support they need to succeed.

At home, Lydia’s love for animals continues with her bustling family of pets: Jazmine, Minx, Theodore, Macie, and Archie. When she’s not working with animals, Lydia loves kayaking, paddleboarding, camping, and binge-watching her favorite shows. An adventurer at heart, she embraces an active lifestyle surrounded by nature, often taking her pups out for lakes days, hikes, and truck rides. 

Lydia’s dedication to the animal industry shines through in every aspect of her work. Cleaning, feeding, walking, or training, she finds joy in simply interacting with animals. Whether it’s guiding dogs in a daycare setting or preparing shelter animals for adoption, Lydia is devoted to making a difference one pet at a time.
